Contributions will be processed by Donuts + Democracy Fiscal Sponsor, the Progressive Leadership Initiative Education Fund which is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. 

To make an IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) or donate a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD):

1. Please review the IRS rules governing RMDs and QCDs, including whether your type of IRA qualifies.  If necessary, please consult with your financial advisor or accountant.

2. Please notify your IRA custodian about your intent to donate as the firm must distribute the funds on your behalf directly to Donuts +Democracy’s 501(c)(3). (The tax rules require distributions be made directly to the 501(c)(3) to be tax-deductible.)
