Together, we can reach more young voters
When you host a Donuts+Democracy event, you’re not just giving away donuts - you’re creating a space for meaningful conversations, sharing tools for civic action, and making sure every student knows their voice counts.
And you’re joining a movement when you work with us. Past partners have included the NAACP, Voters of Tomorrow, College Democrats, Keep AZ Blue, Planned Parenthood, and Students Demand Action.
Scroll down to read the testimonials from student organizers. Together, we created the kind of high-energy, high-impact campus events that get students registered, informed, and ready to vote.
If your campus organization shares our mission to strengthen democracy through youth voter turnout, let’s join forces - just fill out the application and we will get back to you within a few days!
✳️ Please note, in order to maximize our impact, we prioritize campuses and events with competitive elections and races.

“Donuts+Democracy was so impactful for us! It helped draw many students in who may have been tuned out or just wanted to ignore the “political tables” by offering something sweet. We offered donuts to any student to also show that there is so much more to us than our politics. While the issues are important and often contentious, the donuts created a more light hearted environment for everyone. Donuts were also instrumental in collecting the 1000 Make A Plan vote cards in the final two weeks of the election."

“Having donuts quadrupled the amount of people visiting our booth. Without donuts, people were not as excited to come to our table. With donuts, they were eager to hear our message!”

"The D+D team made it very easy and accessible to pick up the donuts. It was also nice to have the freedom to pick the days and times because each campus atmosphere is so different. Having that flexibility ensured we reached the most amount of students at peak times. ”
Audrey @ Georgia Institute of Technology

“Donuts gave us access to the general CMU Community in a way we usually don't have and the opportunity to discuss and have our club be seen by them. Students were also much more likely to fill out the commit to vote cards. We would have likely only had 5 people commit to vote if there hadn't been donuts so I would say it increased turnout by 20x.”
Avalon @ Carnegie Mellon University

"Politics can be depressing (especially right now) and being able to hold a fun but impactful event was really uplifting for me and my club members.”
Eliza @ St. Lawrence University

"I enjoyed that we had freedom to decide when/where we wanted the event and how many donuts we'd need rather than the event being planned for us. (Often election events are planned out for students beforehand and we don't have a say in it). ”
Kayla @ University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh

“Donuts + Democracy greatly increased our engagement with students leading up to the election. Tabling every day for the weeks prior, we had the goal of maintaining an active presence on campus. The difference in engagement and the amount of people we were able to reach skyrocketed when we had hundreds of donuts to give away, and we think that this really helped in increasing early voting and election day turnout among UGA students.”
Caleb @ University of Georgia

“Donuts+Democracy's generosity allowed us to greatly increase the level of engagement we saw on Election Day with students by attracting them to our event, and thus we were able to more effectively give students the info they needed before they voted. This includes helping them find their polling place, checking registration, and giving out nonpartisan ballot information. Without Donuts+Democracy, we would not have been able to reach hundreds of students that we were able to connect with on Election Day. And we saw a 3x increase in traffic from our typical events!”

“Donuts and Democracy was incredibly important and influential on my campus. We had a few voter registration events put on by the University, but we were able to reach 5x the amount of people because of the donuts, and our campus had incredible voter turnout. Our own club's goal was to increase voter registration and civic engagement, which Donuts and Democracy undoubtedly aided with. ”
Brigid @ University of Scranton

“Donuts+Democracy gave us the opportunity to engage with many students on our campus who normally wouldn’t interact with GOTV efforts. Having food to draw people in was essential in getting folks to chat with us about their plan on voting and increased engagement by 5X.”
Clark @ Northwestern University

“Donuts+Democracy played a pivotal role in helping us accomplish our voter engagement goals. Their innovative approach to combining community outreach with meaningful civic action allowed us to connect with thousands of individuals in a personal and impactful way. Through their support, we successfully registered over 2,000 voters across Alabama, empowering our community to make their voices heard and take an active role in shaping their future. Their partnership truly exemplifies the power of grassroots collaboration in driving change.”
Eldric @ Alabama State University

“Donuts+Democracy allowed us to have conversations with people of all ages and political ideologies. It was absolutely perfect, and I don’t think anything would have made it easier. We spread the joy of voting with the joy of donuts!”
Claire @ Grand Valley State University

“What I liked best about hosting a Donuts+Democracy GOTV event was the informal and approachable atmosphere it created for engaging students in civic discussions. The donuts acted as an icebreaker, making it easier for students to join the conversation, while the program itself provided a platform to address important topics like voter registration, election logistics, and pressing issues in a relaxed, student-friendly environment.”
Naa’san @ Rider University
-
“The freedom to complete the event the way we want to was nice! And donuts gave an incentive for the students to stop by when they might not have. ”
Ariana @ Spelman College

“The Donuts+Democracy team allowed us to reach new populations of students on our campus and engage them in a positive and fun way. After months of hassling students on our campus every day, donuts allowed us to have students easily approach us and talk to students that wouldn’t normally have been interested.”
Sloan @ University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
